All of our events, except where specified, are open to all shooters, male and female, of all ages 10+ You do not have to be a member to shoot in any match. For the adult classes, younger shooters must have prior experience. All younger shooters must be accompanied by a responsible adult.


Among the events we offer are:

Introductory Events/Classes:

  1. NRA Basic Pistol/CCW

  2. Open to all ages, 10+ - must be 18+ to apply for CCW.

           If parent is enrolled, younger shooters may attend, depending on height and maturity.

           The course is held on 2 consecutive Saturdays.

  3. NRA Certified Instructors.

  4. This course fulfills the requirements for an Ohio CCW permit.

  5. Approximately 10 hours will be spent on classroom activities which include the below.

  6. How to care for, load and identify various pistols.

  7. Various holster designs and styles.

  8. Firearm Safety and laws.

  9. There will be 2-3 hours of hands-on supervised live fire on our range.

  10. Attendees must bring their own firearm and ammunition.



  11. Woman On Target (Intro to Firearms) - NO CHARGE

  12. Women only!

           Ages, 8 and up, younger shooters may attend depending on height and maturity.

           One day session.

  13. NRA Certified Instructors

  14. Brief history of firearms and their development

  15. Learn safe firearm handling, storage, shooting techniques, load, unload various firearms

  16. Firearms used: .22 and 9mm pistol, shotgun, and AR style rifle

           There will be hands-on supervised live fire on our range

  17. All firearms and ammunition will be provided

  18. Breakfast snacks and lunch are provided


  19. Youth Shoot (Rifle) - NO CHARGE

  20. Any child from 8 to 18, All shooters must have a responsible adult present at the range

  21. NRA Certified Instructors

  22. Introduction to smallbore rifles

  23. Classroom activities will cover:

  24. Firearm safety, brief history, loading, uloading, handling of .22 caliber rifles.

  25. Fire from bench and prone position.

  26. Breakfast and barbecue lunch provided

  27. All firearms and ammunition provided


  28. Youth Shoot (Shotgun) - NO CHARGE

  29. Any child from 8 to 18, All shooters must have a responsible adult present at the range

  30. NRA Certified Instructors

  31. Introduction to the use of shotgun for trap shooting and turkey shoot targets.

  32. Classroom activities will cover:

  33. Firearm safety, brief history, loading, unloading, handling of shotguns.

  34. Range activities:

  35. Inline trap shooting

  36. Stationed trap shooting

  37. All firearms and ammunition provided

  38. Breakfast snacks and lunch are provided.


Pistol Events:

  1. .22 Silhouette - Pistol

  2. Pistol:             Any safe .22 caliber rimfire pistol

  3. Sights:            Any sights

  4. Ammunition: Any .22LR except Stinger, Viper, or other hypervelocity ammunition.


  5. 10 shots     Chickens     10 yards

  6. 10 shots     Pigs             15 yards

  7. 10 shots     Turkeys       20 yards

  8. 10 shots     Rams          25 yards


  1. Bowling Pin - Pistol

  2. Pistol:               Any safe centerfire or rimfire pistol

  3. Sights:              Any sights

  4. Ammunition:    Any safe ammunition for the pistol being fired

  5. Classes:           Centerfire and Rimfire


  6. 5 pins at 25 feet.

          20 seconds maximum to knock off stand.

          Fired 3 times.

          Lowest 2 times count for score.

          Lowest score wins the match.


  7. Steel Plate - Pistol

  8. Pistol:               Any safe centerfire or rimfire pistol

  9. Sights:              Any sights

  10. Ammunition:    Any ammunition safe for the pistol being fired

  11. Classes:           Centerfire and Rimfire


  12.      6 plates at 15 yards.

       Fired 3 times.

    Lowest 2 times count for score.

    Lowest score wins the match.



Rifle Events:

  1. .22 Bench - Rifle

  2. Rifle:                  Any safe rimfire rifle

  3. Sights:               Any sights

  4. Ammunition:    Any .22LR except Stinger, Viper, or other hypervelocity ammunition.

  5. Equipment:       Artificial rest or bipod allowed

  6. Classes:           .22LR, .22WMR, .17 rim fire


  7. 50 yards:      one shot each in twenty targets - not including sighters 2 rounds

  8. 100 yards:    ten shots each in two targets not including sighters

  9. Total shots of 50 for score



  10. .22 Silhouette - Rifle

  11. Rifle:                 Any safe rimfire rifle

  12. Sights:              Any sights

  13. Ammunition:   Any .22LR except Stinger, Viper, or other hypervelocity ammunition.

  14. Equipment:       No slings or rests allowed

  15. Classes:          .22LR, .22WMR, .17 rim fire


  16. 40 possible points, 10 rounds per target

  17. Targets at 40, 60, 77, and 100 yards.

  18. Offhand (standing) only.


  19. High Power - Rifle

  20. Rifle:                 Any  centerfire rifle capable of holding at least 5 rounds in a magazine or clip.

  21. This is generally a military, match rifle, or one that has been modified for match use.

  22. Sights:               Any sights

  23. Ammunition:     Any safe centerfire ammunition

  24. Equipment:

  25. Shooting mat, garments, glove, sling, spotting scope, and other match related equipment

  26. (Equipment is allowed but not required)


  27. 50 Rounds fired in the below course of fire. All targets are Military Reduction type

  29. Varmint - Rifle

  30. Rifle:                  Any safe rifle

  31. Sights:               Any sights

  32. Ammunition:     Any safe ammunition

  33. Equipment:      Artificial rest and/or bipod allowed


  34. Two courses of fire, one at 100 yards and one at 200 yards

  35. Ten shots each at 100 yards and 200 yards, total of 20 shots

  36. Sighter shot allowed on first string at beginning of each course of fire

  37. One minute per shot after order to load has been given


  38. Shotgun Events:

    1. Trap - Shotgun

    2. Matches consist of 2 rounds of 25 birds each. First round will be shot from 16 yards. Second round will be shot from a minimum yardage corresponding to the shooter’s class.

            Class A - 25 yards, Class B - 23 Yards, Class C - 21 yards.

            Tied scores following the second round will be reconciled by a method chosen by the match chairman and all shooters involved in the tie.


    3. Total Matches: 23, Count for Points Top 15 Matches


    4. Annie Oakley: Can be held at each match by standard or agreed to rules. The winner takes half of the pot, and the Club gets the other half.


    5. Awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each class.

             Shooters without a previous year’s average will be unclassified until they shoot five matches.

             Shooter Classification determined by averaging of up to the top 15 matches shot. New shooters will be classified after their first five matches. Scheduled Open Trap Matches do not count worards awards.


    6. Trap 100 Bird

    7. There are five, 100 Bird Events, three will count towards a medal for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Members only are eligible for awards. The same 5, 4, 3, 2 Club Point System will be used. Ties in any match will be broken by shooting another 25 Birds.
